Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, and Treasurer of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, Mr. Pao Ong Kiew, led a group of 20 teachers and students from the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club to the MeMe Vanilla Farm in Tuaran to attend the "Vanilla Planting and Process Sharing Workshop”
(亚庇讯)亚庇中学董事会董事长 林克光与财政包望侨日前于上午8时 正至中午12时正,率领亚庇中学农业 俱乐部教师学生一行20人共赴斗亚兰 镇秘密香荚兰种植园(MeMe Vanilla Farm)出席参与《香荚兰种植与过程 《分享交流会》。
与会者还包括亚庇中学教师 Gregory Mojuntin、Zahirah Mohd Zain Rampas、Siti Rahmah Lazim,学生杨政谚 (3K) 吴宗锏(ID) 溫瑜琳 (1) 陈雨晴(3D)、Nur Ilya Alya Natasha (3K) 、邬义半(3C)、Krisya Elyeka (3C)、黄秀凤(2D)、 Nicole Liajin Amold Antang (3B)、0 liver Ryan (2M)、苏昭玉(2D) Lisa Mary Jinoly (3K)、Rowena De Romeo (3K) Nur Zulfa Mohd Zaki (3K)、刘俊辉(3C)。
Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, and Treasurer of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, Mr. Pao Ong Kiew, led a group of 20 teachers and students from the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club to the MeMe Vanilla Farm in Tuaran to attend the "Vanilla Planting and Process Sharing Workshop which was held from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00pm.
The participants also included Kota Kinabalu High School teachers Gregory Mojuntin, Zahirah Mohd Zain Rampas, Siti Rahmah Lazim, students Yang Zhengyan (3K), Wu Zongjiao (ID), Wen Yulin (1), Chen Yuqing (3D), Nur Ilya Alya Natasha (3K), Wu Yiban (3C), Krisya Elyeka (3C), Huang Xiufeng (2D), Nicole Liajin Amold Antang (3B), 0 liver Ryan (2M), Su Zhaoyu (2D) Lisa Mary Jinoly (3K), Rowena De Romeo (3K) Nur Zulfa Mohd Zaki (3K), Lau Chun Fai (3C).
此次分享交流会由秘密香荚兰种植园总经理吴辛明主讲，董事拿督吴征財、拿汀郭矜鴨,郭赞传和吴心怡接待·主讲人吴辛明总经理不仅介绍了香草的基础知识,还让交流会变得丰富有趣,内容具有吸引力,让学生感受到现代化农业的魅力。从而激发学生的学习积极性。
The sharing workshop was given by Mr. Darryl Ngok, General Manager of MeMe Vanilla Farm, and facilitated by Board of Directors Datuk Stephen Ngok, Datin Guo Jinya, Guo Zanchuan and Wu Xinyi. The speaker, General Manager Mr. Darryl Ngok, not only introduced the basic knowledge of vanilla, but also delivered attractive and rich content and knowledge about modern farming thus making the workshop interesting and engaging for the students. This stimulated and inspired the students’ enthusiasm for learning about modern agriculture.
亚庇中学农业俱乐部教师 Zahirah Mohd Zain Rampas表示,该俱乐部成 立于今年6月,此次活动为该俱乐部 会员第一次出访。此次活动不虚此 行、受益匪浅。她希望该俱乐部往后 所举办的活动能够带动更多的教师参 与参访更多自然生态、现代科技的种 植园,同心协力一起为未来培育更多 优秀的国家栋梁。
Ms. Zahirah Mohd Zain Rampas, a teacher of the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club, said that the club was established in June this year, and this is the first external event for members of the club to participate. This event was a worthwhile trip and benefited both the teachers and students a lot. She hoped that the club's future activities could drive more teachers to participate in visiting more natural ecology and modern technology plantations, and work together to cultivate more outstanding national pillars for the future.
“原来种植是有趣的!我现在对农 业感兴趣了!此次分享交流会,內容丰富,我对香草不再是零知识,而且 种植的方法是特别的、创新的、现代化的,不再是面朝黄土背朝天、双手挥着锄头翻土的。我非常期待更多的活动,走出课本,丰富自己”,亚庇中学农业俱乐部学生邬义丰受访时说道。
"It turns out that planting is fun! I am now interested in agriculture! This sharing session is rich in content. I no longer have zero knowledge about vanilla, and the planting method is unique, innovative, and modern. It really opened up my eyes and I am very much looking forward to more activities, stepping out of textbooks, and enriching myself," said Wu Yifeng, a student of the Agricultural Club of Kota Kinabalu High School in an interview.
亚庇中学董事会董事长林克光表示,该俱乐部是开放予该校任何对农业感兴趣的学生,以自愿的方式报名、享受主动学习的乐趣-年轻代表着希望,也意味着未来。农业是扎根土地的行业,随着现代农业、智慧农业的发展,学生们越来越能感受到, 未来农民也是“白领”职业。他希望 该俱乐部可以带动更多的学生一起与,宣扬亚庇中学农业教育基地、现代农业综合实训基地。
Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, said that the club is open to any student in the school who is interested in agriculture. They can sign up voluntarily and enjoy the fun of active learning. Youth represents hope and also means the future. Agriculture is an industry rooted in the land. With the development of modern agriculture and smart agriculture, students are more aware that farmers will also be "white-collar" professions in the future. He hopes that the club can bring more students together to promote the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Education Base and Modern Agricultural Comprehensive Training Base.
“非常感谢拿督吴征财给予亚庇中学的大力支持,不仅为本校捐贈200株香草幼苗,还为教师学生提供了丰富有趣的分享交流会,以及早餐和午餐。展望农业的未来,我希望对农业有兴趣的学生今后能够考虑从事农业或农业研发的工作,推动沙巴经济更上一层楼,为国家作出更大贡献”, 亚庇中学董事会董事长林克光受访时说道。
"I am very grateful to Datuk Stephen Ngok for his great support to Kota Kinabalu High School. He dkid only donated 200 vanilla seedlings to the school, but also provided teachers and students with rich and interesting sharing sessions, as well as breakfast and lunch. Looking forward to the future of agriculture, I hope students who are interested in agriculture can consider working in agriculture or agricultural research and development in the future, so as to promote Sabah's economy to a higher level and make greater contributions to the country," said Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors.
