庇中與RBA簽約推展籃球新藍圖 將全人概念融入球隊 培養全能型運動員
The New Kota Kinabalu High School Basketball Blueprint Event & Contract Signing between Kota Kinabalu High School and Roosters Basketball Academy.
亞庇中學正式推展籃球新藍圖，今後將融入“全人概念”，培養出籃球、學業、生活的全能型籃球運動員。
庇中董事長林克光今天在藍圖推展禮上，與庇中籃球隊總教練兼 Roosters籃球學院創辦人莊樹聰簽署合約。在場見證者有大馬籃總副會長兼沙巴籃總會長潘志勇、沙巴籃總副會長兼亞庇籃總主席甲必丹馮春發、沙巴籃總顧問潘志遠，庇中副校長張愛雲、董事成員拿督邱陶正、拿督徐鋕年、陳俊傑、包望僑及黃基豪。
Kota Kinabalu High School has officially launched the new blueprint for the basketball team. It will incorporate the "whole person concept" to cultivate all-round basketball players who achieve excellence basketball, academics and life in general.
Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, signed a contract with Mr. Chong SuChung, the head coach of the Kota Kinabalu High School Basketball team and the founder of Roosters Basketball Academy, in the blueprint event today. The witnesses include Mr. Phan Chee Yong, Vice President of Malaysia Basketball Association and President of Sabah Basketball Association, Kapitan Fung Chun Fatt, Deputy President of Sabah Basketball Association and Chairman of Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association, and also long-term main sponsor for KK High School Basketball Team, Mr. Phang Jyn Yenn, Advisor of Sabah Basketball Association, Ms. Chong Oi Yun, Vice Principal of Kota Kinabalu High School, Members of Board of Governors of Kota Kinabalu High School, Datuk Hiew Thien Choi, Datuk Simon Chee Chi Nyen, Mr. David Chan Chun Ket, and Mr. Pao Ong Kiew.
潘韋特：固定訓練時間提高學生自我管理能力庇中籃球領隊潘韋特表示，在新藍圖下，該校籃球隊將有固定訓練時間，每周3次，每次2小時，促使學生能夠更好地管理自己的時間，並提前將時間分配好給籃球、學業和其他活動，從而提高自我管理能力。
RBA教練團隊提供訓練他指出，該校新聘請的教練莊樹聰將帶領Roosters籃球學院（RBA）教練團隊，為球員提供系統化的訓練和發展計劃。
他稱，RBA 是本地享有盛譽的籃球學院，在為球員組織系統的訓練和訓練營方面擁有特出的成就和豐富經驗。也是庇中董事會成員兼校友的潘韋特指出，該校籃球隊將與校方密切合作，支持和指導球員學業，包括評估學生的學習成績，為他們補習和學業輔助，並與RBA合作，整合學業和籃球成績單，以關心和管理球員的全面發展。
“我本身通過籃球學到很多軟技能，包括領導力、團隊合作、溝通等，這些對我的大學學習和職業生涯都有很大的幫助。我們的願景是要將全人概念融入球隊，幫助球員在各個方面都做到卓越，並讓籃球隊受到認可。”
Mr. Phang Wei Terd: : Fixed training time to improve students' self-management ability. Mr. Phang Wei Terd, the Team Manager of Kota Kinabalu High School Basketball Team, said that under the new blueprint, the basketball team will have fixed training time; 3 times a week, 2 hours each time. This helps the students to improve their self-management and time-management skills, and also allows them to allocate time in advance for basketball, studies, and other activities.
Mr. Phang, who is also a member of the Board of Girectors and alumni of Kota Kinabalu High School, pointed out that the school's basketball team will work closely with the school to offer academic support and guidance to the basketball players. He added that “we will first assess the students’ academic performance through survey, and then offer help and guidance to them respectively. For instance, we can organise tuition classes and academic support for them, targeted at their needs. Working with Roosters Basketball Academy, we want to integrate both academic and basketball report cards to track and manage the development progress of the players”.
Mr. Phang also added that "I learned a lot of soft skills through basketball myself, including leadership, teamwork, communication, etc., which have helped me a lot in college and in my career. Our vision is to integrate the concept of the whole person into the team, Helping players excel in every way and getting the basketball team recognized."
同時，莊樹聰表示，RBA的教學理念是為球員提供工具和知識，幫助他們在團隊或學校中學習、決策和領導，並在特定時間和地點提供必要的指導，進一步幫助他們發展籃球和生活技能，使球員在未來追求的任何事物中，都能取得卓越成就。
提供基本技能增強運動發展他坦言，在冠病疫情後，如何讓庇中在籃球領域保持強校地位，是一個極大挑戰；因此，其教練團隊將提供8項基本籃球技能，增強一般運動技能功能的發展，賦予球員決策概念，教他們競爭，並介紹適合學生運動員的力量訓練概念和計劃。
莊樹聰是於2015年重返教練崗位，學員年齡介於6至40歲以上，他於2017年獲得籃球教練認證（大馬籃總和美國籃球協會），並於 2022 年成為國際認證私人健身教練。
自獲得認證以來，他積極參與各個層面的工作，從民眾、本地學校、國際學校、附屬學校、地區和州團隊教學，並與本地和國際團隊合作發展籃運，努力成為一名有知識、負責任和受人尊敬的教練。
At the same time, Coach Chong SuChung said that the teaching philosophy of the RBA is to provide players with the tools and knowledge to help them learn, make decisions and lead in a team or school, and provide necessary guidance at a specific time and place to further help them develop basketball and life skills. This allows the players to achieve excellence in anything they pursue in the future.
Coach Su Chung added that it is important to provide basic skills to enhance sports development. He admitted that it is a great challenge to maintain the status of Kota Kinabalu High School as a leader in the basketball field after the COVID-19 epidemic; therefore, his coaching team will provide 8 basic basketball skills to enhance general sports skills and development, empowers players with decision-making concepts, teaches them to compete, and introduces strength training concepts and programs suitable for student-athletes.
Chong Su Chung returned to coaching in 2015. The players he coached are between 6 and 40 years old. He was certified as a basketball coach in 2017 (Malaysian Basketball Association and the US Basketball Association) and became an internationally certified personal fitness trainer in 2022. Since his certification, he has been actively involved at all levels, teaching from the public, local schools, international schools, affiliated schools, district and state teams, and working with local and international teams to develop basketball in an effort to become a knowledgeable, responsible, accountable and respected coach.
