In order to speed up the effective implementation of the School-based Assessment (PBS) to replace the Secondary Three Assessment (PT3), to strengthen the promotion of the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Education Base and the Modern Agricultural Comprehensive Training Base, Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Kota Kinabalu High School, recently led key personnel and Sabarica Coffee to join hands to organise the "Sabarica Coffee Sharing Session & Memorandum" for Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club. The event specially invited by Datuk Hiew Thien Choi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kota Kinabalu High School, as the Guest of Honor and Jackz Lee, founder of Sabarica Coffee, as the speaker. More than 50 high school students attended the event.

"The content of the presentation given by the founder of Sabarica Coffee during the event is very rich. It does not only allow me to know more about coffee, experience on-site roasting of coffee beans and making coffee latte, but also let me fully understand the cultivation of Sabarica process from upstream and downstream collaboration of the industrial chain and supply chain, channel integration of resources, etc. I joined the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club spontaneously, because my family and I were very interested in agriculture, and we also planted pineapples, peppers, potatoes, pineapples, corn, etc. My family and I believe that getting into agriculture is also part of fitness activity. I am very much looking forward to participating in more extracurricular activities.” Wong Li An, a Form 3 (3T) student and member from the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Club, said in an interview.

Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors Chairman Mr. Lim Kiat Kongsaid that the new learning method of replacing Secondary Three Assessment (PT3) with School Based Assessment (PBS) is seen as more inclusive and comprehensive, assessing students' true potential at the school level to nurture better students and develop new generation. School-based assessment (PBS) is assessed through three parts, namely: classroom assessment (PBD), extracurricular activities assessment (PAJSK) and psychological assessment (PPsi), which can accurately assess and reveal students' strengths and weaknesses. School-based assessment not only creates an interesting learning environment for students in an exploratory way, but also enhances students' critical, creative and innovative thinking skills through exploration, investigation and project production. The world is constantly changing. The Board of Governors of Kota Kinabalu High School will make use the Asia-China agricultural education base and resources to create opportunities for students, so that students can get in touch with leaders in various industries and fields and acquire great experience and exposure in terms of theoretical and practical knowledge.

“Since I joined the Kota Kinabalu High School Blueprint Team in 1983, I have witnessed the relocation of the Kota Kinabalu High School from the old site to the new site, and I have also witnessed the Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors had personally worked on the beautification and greening of the campus due to the lack of school funds. I look forward to this major improvement and transformation. In the near future, students can spontaneously make good use of the resources of the Kota Kinabalu High School Agricultural Education Base and Agricultural Club, strengthen activities under the supervision of teachers and support from their parents, and jointly implement the land-based school plan.” The Vice Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors Datuk Hiew Thien Choi said in an interview.

After the event, Mr. Pao Ong Kiew, the member of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Jackz Lee, the founder of Sabarica Coffee, for his strong support to Kota Kinabalu High School, not only donating 200 Arabica coffee seedlings (Arabica Coffee) to Kota Kinabalu High School, and also provided a rich, interesting and rewarding sharing session for teachers and students.
