A Visit to Centre for E-Learning of University Malaysia Sabah (UMS)
由亚庇中学董事长林克光先生与沙巴艺术学院董事主席暨华社领袖拿督斯里杨忠勇博士局绅率领的联合参访团一行28人，于2022年5月27日（星期五）上午9时正至下午2时30分，前往马来西亚沙巴大学电子学习中心（Centre for E-Learning）进行礼貌拜会
此次礼貌拜会，由马来西亚沙巴大学电子学习中心总监兼增强现实（Augmented Reality）专家黄业荣教授博士、副总监兼生物技术（Biotechnology）专家肯尼斯教授博士（Dr. Kenneth Francis Rodrigues），生物技术研究所植物组织培育（Plant Tissue Culture）专家诺阿兹尊博士（Dr. Nor Azizun binti Rusdi）接待。双方就线上教育系统、大规模开放在线课堂（Massive Open Online Course，又称MOOC慕课）、增强现实AR、虚拟现实VR、植物组织培育、第一代杂交种（Hybrid）日本紫番薯等领域开展了广泛的合作与交流。
此次联合参访团与会者还包括亚庇中学副董事长拿督邱陶正，董事拿督罗锦棠、包望侨、甘坤游、陈俊杰、黄基豪、潘韦特，沙巴艺术学院董事主席特助谢晓语、校长Dayang Mahsuri Abdul Rahim、学术主任Ade Aliff bin Jobin、室内设计大专讲师陈蓝荣、建筑设计大专项目协调员Nicklaus George、平面设计大专项目协调员Byron Chester Dee Rayner、音乐大专项目协调助理Siti Nur Hidayah Sophian、IT部协调员黄俊勇、数字营销和平面设计师罗兆庆，社会贤达拿督吴征财、拿汀郭矜鷨、拿督江登光、李福炎和企业家陈则灿、吴辛明、冯佐诗、吴心怡。
亚庇中学董事长林克光先生与马来西亚沙巴大学电子学习中心总监黄业荣教授博士于2022年5月27日（星期五）下午1时45分在电子学习中心签署意向联合办学协议，就电子学习教学和学习培训项目，学术项目的合作，联合研究、开发和商业化项目的合作，联合大学-学校技术转移，教师职员和学生交流项目，联合出版研究和教育材料，联合会议、讲习班和研讨会，联合英语语言、高管教育和企业培训领域建立更加密切的合作关系，由此次联合参访团一行见证。
A 28-member joint delegation courtesy visit to the Centre for E-Learning of University Malaysia Sabah was held on the 27th of May 2022 from 9.00 am to 2.30pm. The courtesy visit was jointly led by Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, and Datuk Sri Dr. Wilson Yong, Chairman of Sabah Institute of Arts and Chinese Community Leader.
The courtesy call was attended by Professor Dr. Edmund Ng Giap Weng, Director of Centre of E-Learning of UMS, and Dr. Kenneth Francis Rodrigues, Deputy Director of Centre of E-Learning of UMS. Both parties from University Malaysia Sabah and Kota Kinabalu High School discussed the topic of e-learning system, Massive Open Online Course (also known as MOOC), augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). During the courtesy visit, extensive cooperation and exchanges have been carried out.
The joint delegation comprises of Chairman Mr Lim Kiat Kong, Vice Chairman Datuk Hiew Thien Choi, Datuk Lo Kim Thong, Mr. James Kang Kong Yew, Mr. Pau Ong Kiew, Mr. David Chan Chun Ket, Mr. Wong Kee Haw, Mr. Arthur Phang Wei Terd, Ms Joyce Fung, Seyi Chia (Special Assistant to the Chairman of SIA), Dayang Mahsuri Abdul Rahim (President of SIA), Ade Aliff bin Jobin (Academic Director of Sabah SIA), Chen Lanrong (Interior Design Lecturer of SIA), Nicklaus George (Architectural Design Project Coordinator of SIA) , Byron Chester Dee Rayner (Graphic Design Associate Project Coordinator of SIA), Siti Nur Hidayah Sophian (Music Associate Project Coordinator of SIA), Huang Junyong (IT department coordinator of SIA), Luo Zhaoqing (Digital marketing and graphic designer of SIA), social entrepreneur Datuk Stepehn Ngok, Datin Guo Jinyu, Datuk Jiang Dengguang, Mr. Lee Fuyan and entrepreneurs Chen Zecan, Wu Xinming, Feng Zuoshi, Wu Xinyi.
Mr. Lim Kiat Kong, Chairman of Kota Kinabalu High School Board of Governors, and Professor Dr. Edmund Ng Giap Weng, Director of Centre of E-Learning of UMS, signed an agreement of letter of intent to establish partnership to jointly work on the e-learning projects and collaboration on joint research, development and commercialization projects. With the establishment of closer relationship and cooperation between KKHS and UMS, it is hoped that there will be more exchange opportunities and transfer of knowledge and technology between both parties. The signing of the agreement was witnessed by the joint delegation at 1.45pm on the 27th of May 2022 at the e-Learning Centre of UMS.
